Day 1!

We're here!!! We had a fairly smooth trip to Nantucket for our summer vacation. The girls watched movies on the way to the ferry and they LOVED seeing us drive our car on the "big boat." They both slept for most of the ferry ride. 

Our ferry arrived at 11:30 and we couldn't get into our house until 3:00 so we had lunch at Bartlett's Farm and then went back into town for an afternoon treat. We grabbed last minute groceries and then headed to our house. The girls went NUTS when they saw the house. They love it and asked if we could live here forever.

Mike took the girls to pick Stacey up at the airport while Robin stayed behind to unpack and organize everything. We had grilled steak, corn on the cob and pasta salad on the deck for our first dinner on the island.

After dinner, we took the girls to Siasconset for ice cream and a quick trip on the beach to see the ocean. They were both exhausted and went to sleep pretty quickly when we finally got them home, bathed and in bed.
